A Message from the Superintendent

Dear Hampshire Regional School District Community:

After a couple of challenging, busy years, it has been wonderful to stop, rest, and regroup. I hope all of you had a wonderful, memorable summer. I would like to welcome everyone to the start of the 2022-2023 school year, especially our new students, families, and staff. I hope you enjoy HRSD as much as I do because it truly is an incredible, unique school community!

There is so much to look forward to in the new school year! School visits are the highlight of my week because I get to see passionate teachers and excited students participating in thoughtful, engaging activities. While Covid-19 will still be with us, we would like the upcoming school year to be focused on teaching and learning. I believe that if we continue to collaboratively build a shared vision of effective teaching and learning by providing student-centered, rigorous, and relevant curriculum experiences, then we will increase engagement, equity, overall academic achievement, and the social-emotional well-being of ALL students. Some of our ambitious goals for the upcoming school year include: starting the Norris neuro-diversity program and implementing a new gr. 6-8 math curriculum, creating a district vision and mission statement, and establishing aligned curricula with appropriate, challenging proficiency targets that reflect interactive, relevant, and engaging learning. Remember to start the school year with consistent, positive study habits, and if your student is having any trouble, please reach out to the classroom teacher as soon as possible. We are here to help!

I hope you enjoy the rest of your summer and I look forward to welcoming you all on August 31st!

Respectfully,

Diana Bonneville, Ph.D. Superintendent of Schools
